Pool Week - Day 5

We did it!  We made it to the pool every day this week!  That was our goal, and the weather was great for it.  Allison was brave enough to walk the entire length of the pool from the zero entry to the far end (stayed at 18 inches) and felt pretty cool doing it!  She was having so much fun!  Anna, Ashley and Adam all had fun going down the slides, going under the splashers, crawling around on their arms... they all had a blast as well.  They were sad it was our last day... but they don't realize how much fun the rest of summer is going to be for them!  We took Anna into the doctor this morning because she was up all night with horrible cramping in her stomach. Wes thought she may have constipation, but was concerned that she was not able to sleep through the cramps... for several hours... and wanted to be sure it wasn't something else.  Sure enough... constipation it was!  So... we'll see if she's better after a few trips to the bathroom! The joys of parenting!  On our way back from the pool, we stopped at the library... that was really fun for the kids.  They have all registered for the Mayor of Buffalo summer reading program, and we didn't have all the books that they picked out from the list.  They will read 7 books from a grade-appropriate list then write a short book report about each one... if they are successful  in completing that, they will receive an award from Mayor Brown and be entered into a drawing for big prizes like bikes, x-boxes, ipads... fun stuff!!!  There is also a big award ceremony at the Buffalo Convention Center downtown... so kinda cool!  We had storms to the north of us again today... but still didn't get a drop of rain.
