Since the snow all melted over the weekend with our 60+ degree weather during the middle of January... we decided to make snow today (in my new craft room)! The girls had made snowflakes before, but Adam never had. Regardless, it is always fun to fold the paper, snip a few areas away, then unfold the paper to see what amazing pattern your snowflake has... and even with paper... no two snowflakes look alike! Other than that, we had another great day! The kids are doing great getting through the school day... and they have from day one, really... doing their lessons, doing chores, getting outside and doing homework or educational movie "rest" time. I love how seriously they take school. I have been giving Anna more time to do her lessons after everyone gets ready for bed... and that is going well. I feel she is getting a better chance to understand the material... not that she was doing poorly, but it felt like she never had a break because she spent most of the afternoon at her desk. This way she gets to play a little more in the afternoon and she still has plenty of time to read when she goes up to bed, and it is actually helping Ashley to read more as well... she doesn't have Anna to chit chat with! Allison and Adam had fun at the rink playing while Ashley and Anna had their skating lessons... Allison walked around all over while Adam lined up his "airport". Adam enjoyed feeding Allison her bottle today... it's rare that he gets to hold her so he had fun with that! Wes is on call overnight tonight, so it's just me and the kids... again. We are planning a field trip to the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester tomorrow... Wes will be home early since he was overnight tonight, so he plans to join us (as long as he got enough sleep!). We are all excited to check it out!
