It turned out we were able to leave for our Thanksgiving vacation today! Wes got done a little early so we joined the crowd on the busiest travel day of the year.... and it truly was steady, solid traffic the whole way. Thankfully Wes likes to drive! We made good time... but only Allison and Anna fell asleep in the car. Adam and Ashley are my party animals and not surprisingly stayed awake... so by the time they settled down and fell asleep in the hotel it was after 11pm! Ughhh! Hopefully we still enjoy our vacation! Before we left I still held school, except Anna was dragging! All she wanted to do was sit on the comfy chair and sleep... she also had no voice and had a low barking occasional cough... she got croup from Ashley! I had her color her pilgrims but even that took a lot of effort and she didn't get them cut out. Adam did a good job coloring his pilgrims but didn't have it in him to cut them out so we will also finish that later. Ashley did get hers done and was so proud of all her work... She colored each part (arms, legs, hair, face...) then cut the pieces out for each person, then glued the pieces together... so quite involved! Then I finished packing so we were all set to go! Allison was ready for her afternoon nap right when we were ready to leave... so perfect timing! The kids were very good in the car (8 hours!) and Wes and I were able to visit quite a bit which made the time go by!

Joining the Crowd
