After Allison's Big birthday party, the girls got ready for their practice ice and we went over to the rink where Coach Kirk met them, and they each practiced their free skate routines. They looked really good and looked ready for their competition. After that fun, we went dog sledding right on the lake outside of our hotel!!! So neat to get to try this unique sport! We had to wait in a long line for about an hour in sub zero weather with wind... but we all managed to make it without freezing to death. It helped that there was a solo husky tied up where we waited... the kids had fun petting it and playing with it... although he did occasionally snip at the kids, and even pinned Adam down in a playful way, which made me very nervous. Grandma decided to join us... Grandpa stood in line with us for a while but since he wasn't going to go on the dogsled, he went into the hotel where he could watch us while he stayed nice and warm.
