We said goodbye to our friends today as they headed back home.... we had such a great time with them! We have known that family for 10 years... and we always have a super great time together! Wes had the day off, so we wanted to do something more than hang out at the house. After having company for a week, it would have just turned into a day of work at the house, and he had cashed in a vacation day... so we headed out to Lake Chautauqua for some fishing. It was a little cool today... the forecast said low 60s but because the wind was out of the north, it was never warm enough to take off our sweatshirts. But that didn't stop us from having fun! The kids were catching fish like crazy! A grand total of 30 fish... mostly pumpkinseeds but also some yellow perch and rock bass. Ashley caught 14 and Anna and Adam each caught 8. There were a lot of smiles in the boat! Allison was not too sure about the fish being brought into the boat. She found them... scary! We did not keep any of the fish, although they would have been tasty. Thanks to Wes for finding us a great spot!
