We decided to spend the day working hard to get household projects done so we could fully relax and hang out (or at least attempt to) next weekend! We did alot of outdoor stuff... trimmed the hedges out front which was long overdue, replaced the summer petunias with fall mums on the front porch, unloaded the boat of all the water it took on from the recent rains and cleaned the pool one last time before taking it down for the year. We did a lot of indoor stuff, too. Wes assembled more furniture, helped me hang all the wall stuff in Adam's room and a few other rooms and lowered Allison's crib. I started to organize the study room's new shelving and organized the hallway closet with a new shelf... it is so nice now! We did manage to enjoy time as a family... we used our "family ticket" for admission to watch Adam's bike show on the front sidewalk crushing cans. We also made a nice dinner of Filet Mignon with nice side dishes which the kids loved! It was delicious! The kids also helped make a cheesecake for dessert which turns out that Ashley was the only kid who liked it... more for her (and us)!
