My sister and her family left today. We had a nice lazy morning where the kids played together. They prepared another show for us... this time it was The Circus. Anna was the trainer, Nate and Ashley were tigers (dressed in orange) and Amelia and Adam were hyenas (dressed in black). Ashley was also a clown that ended the show. It was cute. They were all quite tired, as they were up late last night with one last sleepover, so we put in a movie for them to watch just to relax. We had a hard time saying goodbye to the them! As they drove away, Anna declared how much fun it was having them visit, Ashley teared up and said she missed them already, and Adam said he wished they lived with us forever. I missed them right away, too. The house was instantly quiet... each of my children gave themselves quiet time... Adam played with his airplanes, Anna watched a movie and Ashley drew spirals with the spiral maker all while I fed Allison. We did a lot while they were here... we had great meals made mostly by Jason, but I helped some... we pondered parenting, traveling, politics and food... I gave haircuts to Jason and Nate... and we enjoyed Mia's giggles and Nate's endless apple eating... we watched numerous shows performed by the kids... and we went somewhere fun everyday, mostly outdoors where we were able to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Thanks for the fun week, Goodwins! After dinner we decided to play a board game since they had watched a movie earlier in the day. Hedbanz it was... we even got Allison in on the fun! Then, an early bed time... hopefully we will all be rested and caught up on sleep by morning... if that is possible!
