Broken Arm!

Anna broke her arm in 3 places! Once in the elbow, twice in the wrist, but not in the growth place. It happend the same exact same way that Ashley broke her foot last August. It is a long story... so here is the short version. There is a 9 foot loft above the closets in the kid's room that are accessed by a ladder that is built to the wall. Last August the kids were up there and Ashley was pushed out, innocently, not maliciously. We covered the ladder and the kids have not been up since. Well, the owners were back visiting and their kids are used to the loft and were climbing over my ladder-block in order to get up, and jumping down past it in order to get down. It didn't appear too safe, so I took the ladder-blocks off to prevent an accident. Well, my kids, of course, took full advantage of the opportunity to be up in the loft again, so the kids played and played. At the end of a successful, fall-free weekend, right before bedtime... THUD! Anna was pushed out of the loft, innocently, not maliciously. Apparently there is just a higher level of energy when kids get together, and even higher when they are in a special place. None of my kids ever want to go up in the loft again. So, it shouldn't happen a third time! Here she is in the ER getting her cast. She picked a red wrap. By the time the cast was on, she was comfortable and loved showing it off. What a sport!
